This story is a difficult story to write, they always are when someone you know and so young has lost their fight to Cancer. With permission from 'Mo' and his family he has asked me to write a short piece to explain why we together, are raising money in memory of his wife Lindsey.

Many of you who read this and in particular the people who knew her best will be able to tell me how wonderful she was, and how she always tried to see the best in people. A truly kind considerate generous person. I know that you could tell me that over the many years that you were friends, you saw this over and over. A real genuine person with a smile for everyone.

So...'Mo, me and and my wife are running the Sheffield Half Marathon to raise money for the charity who supported Lindsey during her cancer treatment. The money raised will be donated to Firefly who will honour her memory by placing her name on one of the fleet vehicles.

Firefly is a local charity that provides free transport to local cancer patients and their families in the borough of Doncaster to regional treatment hospitals using a fantastic team of volunteer drivers.
