Anti-Fur Manchester is a group of volunteers dedicated to fighting the fur industry in and around Manchester. We are compassionate people who act within the law to raise awareness of the fur industry and encourage the public to make ethical choices. We believe that peaceful and legal means are the most effective way to get our message across and work within the law to give information to the public in an approachable and friendly way.

We hold a peaceful protest outside Harvey Nichols, Manchester every Saturday making the public aware of the sale of fur in the store and the fur industry in general. We have a lot of support from the public, but there are a few people that take exception at what we do and unfortunately, a couple of our members have recently been physically assaulted. Both assaults were totally unprovoked and neither member of the group retaliated. Although these incidents were reported no further action was taken due to lack of evidence. It is always important for us and the public to be safe, so we are wanting to purchase some camera equipment to be used at all our demo’s.

We would like to buy some GoPro Cameras and GoPro Camera Chest Mounts. We are hoping that use of the GoPro Cameras may deter any further members being physically assaulted and make our members feel safer.
