Story
November 11th 2018 marks the Centenary of the 1918 Armistice that brought the First World War to an end.
Here in Hedon we want to erect a permanent memorial to the anniversary and remind us all of the sacrifices made to secure that peace 100 years ago.
We are looking to raise the money from pubic donations, auctions, coffee mornings and other local events. The Town Council will site the memorial on its own grounds. But we need to raise the funds to design, create, mount and install the memorial. Any funds surplus to costs will be donate to local veterans charities.
This is being supported by Hedon Town Council, Churches Together, The Hedon British Legion, Hedon WI, Hedon Mixed Voice Choir.
