    Story

Tia is a 7 year old border colllie, We noticed a lump on the side of her chest and while she was having her spay operation in 2013 she just turned 2 while under the vet took a sample and sent it to the lab. 2 days later we were told it was a mast cell tumor but couldn't be sure of the grade until the whole tumor was removed. Tia recovered remarkable quick, We got the results back and it was graded at grade 2. Everything was going okay until June 2016 with only a few minor issues, We noticed a small lump at the base of her tail, We took her to the vet on numerous occasions and was told it
was an infected hair folical. Beginning of 2017 it was the size of a golf we weren't happy and told the vet to take a sample of cells from the lump. Got a phone calls 2 days later saying it was a mast cell tumor, Tia's operation was less then a week later. Another anxious wait to find out the grade, The phone rang and the vet said it was a grade 2 mast cell tumor again. Then she developed a problem with her right hind leg 5 months ago. We tried 2 different anti inflammatory drugs and the 2nd seemed to help, we slowly weened her of them with the vets advice and knowledge. For 2 and half months she was great and she was running around again wanting to play. Just 3 weeks ago everything went down hill quick and she's having a hard time walking and occasionally scraps her right hind leg while out walking. Tia is back on anti inflammatory drugs. The vets suspects a problem with her ligament/s in her leg. On Friday last week we noticed a lump on her head which has got bigger in less then a week. The lower end estimate to get her leg fixed is £2,500 possibly more depending on what they find. An estimate cost of £700 to get the lump on her head removed and sent to the lab to be graded. Our target is £500 to help towards the cost of her operations. Thank you so much for reading Tia's story, We hope Tia will make a full recovery. Big or small a donation is a donation.
