6 months ago Ashley fell ill and was taken to the doctors for bloods. Blood tests came back and unfortunately Ashley, at the age of 21 was diagnosed with leukaemia.

After weeks of trying to find the right blood type, bone marrow after bone marrow he finally had a transplant 5 weeks ago. Everything was looking up and the family were hoping Ashley could finally come home.

Throughout it all the Bain family have remained strong and hoped for positive results. However, yesterday morning Ashley’s mum got a call from the doctors informing the family that the cancer had spread to Ashley’s heart and had a few weeks left.

We have set this page up to ensure that Ashley and his family can have time together and make as many memories as possible.
