Story
Severe flooding affected Kerala state in India due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. Kerala's worst floods in nearly a century, over 350 people died within a month, while at least 700,000 were displaced and all 14 districts of the state, were placed on high alert.
The water levels are going down, but the floods have left quarter of the state destroyed. Houses, schools, hospitals, roads and other Infrastructures are washed out by the floods.
We are trying to raise as much as we can through various means.
While the State and Central government have contained the situation within their limits, now the major challenge in front of the tourist state is to rebuild the life of those who affected. This will involve fighting post flood diseases, re-building houses, hospitals, communities etc.

5 years agoHi All Just to show the traceability JG Crowdfunding transferred £1357.94 after the commission into the bank account and same amount was sent to India through internal banking system due to ongoing international money transfer problems. This amount was converted to INR by bank and same was passed to Chief Minister's Distress Release Fund (CMDRF). Screen shots below. Thank you for all your support and prayer.

6 years agoHi All, thanks a lot for your amazing support. We are just £20 away from 25% of our target. This week, Kerala has recovered from the immediate threat and we are now in rebuild phase. While we (Ashwani and Manjit) are trying to raise fund in UK, Raj has been helping locals to get to safety (picture of Raj at his Mom's house - wise mode of transport). Once Raj is back from Kerala (brave soul is in Kerala - COK Airport closed), we plan to trek snowdonia and organise some events across London and Newbury to fuel fund raising.
