I am a newly qualified mental health nurse who works on a working age acute adult ward. Through seeing benefits of patients on the ward interacting and engaging with an all in one interactive PC borrowed from another ward I have set out to raise money to purchase one for our self's to use as a therapeutic tool. It has helped people come together on the ward, break down social anxities and improved social skills. Patients have found it useful to deescalate and as a relaxing tool due to the multiple functionalities. It may also be used for patients to learn new skills on a computer and look for volunteering or other job opportunities when ready for discharge.
