I AM MOVING TO MEXICO!

As some of you may know, I have been trying to figure out visas or where I will end up after uni for a long time. After praying lots I feel like I need to leave the UK and do something way out of my comfort zone, so I’ve decided to do YWAM Discipleship Training School this July-November in Mazatlan, Mexico!

YWAM (short for Youth With A Mission) is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. It’s been around since the 1960s and now equips and sends out thousands of young adults yearly.

The way my YWAM discipleship training school will work is that I will move to Matazlan, do training there alongside 20-30 other people (who are from a variety of different countries, languages, and backgrounds) for 3 months and then I will be sent out to do outreach in either Mexico or anywhere in the world, depending on where we feel like God wants us! The main aim of YWAM is to know God (which the training period is for) and to make Him known (and that’s what the outreach phase is for!).

I will be doing the Compassion Track which means my main focus in outreach will be to work with the poor, needy and hurting. This means I will be doing A LOT of praying, showing the love of Jesus to overlooked people and communities, service projects such as building homes and more.

I am SO excited to dedicate 5 months of really learning about the heart of God and learning about other cultures.

That being said, I need to raise money to make this happen and will need lots of prayers. The training period in Mexico costs $3,500, which includes all my food, housing and lectures, and the outreach is $2000-$4000 depending on where I am sent.
