    Story

I have been waiting 2 years for 3rd complex spine surgery, due to 2 failed ones and 4 agonising years battling with the nhs (the walton centre in particular). This is affecting my family life massively and needs to be done and then i can get the aftercare i so desperatly need.my condition is deteriorating and debilitating and my family need our ‘normal‘ back, despite taking over 800 tablets a month i am still in intense debilitating pain,i am unable to do everyday things that we take for granted i.e pushing my 4yr old on the swings/family days out/driving/lifting pans/kettle etc...and going to work which i had to give up,a job i enjoyed immensly, due to pain/failed surgeries and very poor aftercare, resulting in us having to sell our house.my husband works full time and still comes home from work and does most of the housework, cooking etc. This money will help massively to fund private healthcare consultations, physiotherapy/ rehabilitation, medical equipment, cbt & post traumatic stress counselling.I just want to be a proper mummy again and that means paying for private aftercare to get back to having a normal family life as the national health service just do not have the resources to do these things in the time frame that i need to help me have succesful recovery and succesful outcome going forward. my children want their mummy back,my husband wants his bubbly confident wife back, most of all i need myself back.thankyou so much for your support it is extremely appreciated x

Today I received an email from the nhs complaints team (below) ,whilst I’m not getting my hopes up,this is a step in the right direction. The past 5 years has been soul destroying for us and I intend to start my recovery now with counselling and cbt amongst other things, to be continued after my surgery. Dave has just completed tough mudder (on 2 broken ribs) if you would like to sponsor him through my page then it will help so much. If you have already donated to my page thank you 🙏🏾

I’ve had my private consultation Which was very positive and he can fully repair the damage caused by NHS Walton . In the meantime I will be having steroid injections in my neck to try and alleviate some of the swelling which will reduce the risk of compression and hoping it takes a little bit of pain away aswell although this is a temporary measure. I still need to raise funds to help me recover after surgery as I will need counselling due to years of mental anguish and intensive physio /rehabilitation.thankyou for your continued support x x x
