We have been contacted by a family who are under an enormous amount of debt.

This is a genuine and verified case. We know them personally.

They are from a good family but unfortunately are in really difficult situation at present.

The family have two young children, a message from their daughter is below.

We would really appreciate if you could help by donating Lillah-Sadaqah or Zakat money towards this Family.

Message from their daughter, the youngest child:

I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit this campaign. My first and utmost request to you is to please make as much duaa as possible for my father and my family so that Allah can ease our burdens and pave a way out of the situation we are in. I am reaching out to you with regards to my father’s current situation in Dubai. In 2009 he had taken monies from investors and unfortunately suffered severe losses.

Over the past 10 years, proportions of the debt have been paid through the sale of all our assets that we had as a family and with cash contributions in the form of loans and donations from family members, well-wishers and the community.

However my father still owes the investors substantial amounts. Unfortunately the last ten years have seen our family undergo many obstacles and pressures to return this money, especially as we do not have any more finances or assets to pay this debt. As a result of the UAE Laws, my dad has already spent nearly 3 years in prison.

Today, once again my father who is 53 years old is re-facing possible time in prison which could be up to 9 years if we are not able to provide the investors with their monies. As you can imagine, our family is distraught and seeking a solution to this matter in order to avoid this consequence.

At this current moment, some well wishers and community members are attempting to convince the investors to come to a final and concluding settlement of my father’s debt with them and try to bring this long outstanding and distressing matter to an end.

We as a family humble ourselves today and inform you that my family and I are currently in the process of raising monies from our family, relatives, friends, well-wishers and the community who are assisting my father as much as possible to repay his debt but we need significant amounts to resolve the situation he is in and allow him to continue to stay united with me and his family. Anything that you, your family or friends can donate towards our collection will be much appreciated and will allow my father to finally close this matter.

Though the amount we need to raise is large, any contributions make a difference and I believe that together as brothers and sisters, as communities and on humanitarian and compassionate grounds can help my dad to allow him a chance to live a normal life after being under serious burdens, pressures and sufferings over the past 10 years.
