    Weʼve raised £250 to Sponsor Pro Stock Motorcycle racer for 2019 Season

    Funded on Saturday, 30th November 2019

    Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

    I have at the ripe old age of 57 signed up to compete in the 2019 Pro-Stocks Suzuki Bandit Challenge Motorcycle road race series.

    This is the cheapest end of the clubman racing series as the bikes are 'stock' Suzuki 600 Bandits, very little modification is allowed. That said it is an 8 round series where I will cover some 2800 miles just getting there. I estimate that it will cost in the region of £6000 to compete next year, at present I don't have funds to do all of the rounds so am trying to generate 25% of the costs via this funding page.

    First ride on my race bike was at Brands Hatch on 24th Feb, I went out in the fast group with all sorts of superior machinery but got a good days testing in, on board camera footage link below;

    I am trying to raise some money towards the cost of racing for the season, target is £1500 which would buy tyres & some spares for the season, but anything would be a massive help.

    I have been encouraged by members of The Triumph Forum which I have belonged to for a while to set up this funding page so they can help.

    You can follow my progress at the Forum on the below link, thanks for looking.

      Well another 2 rounds in Wales now under my belt, managed to get rid of the novice vest for the last race at Pembrey which was a great weekend, then onto Anglesey for a weekend of wild storms and very changeable conditions, starting to really enjoy the racing now, no major incidents or dramas, so all good! Below gives you an idea of how wet it was in race 1 at Anglesey!

      Latest round at Cadwell was a good one for me, 1st time this season I got in a full days testing on the Friday, needed it, as never seen the track before! So a bit of a learning weekend, had a gear selection issue in Sat race 1 & had to retire after 5 laps, race 2 was OK but finished way down & off the pace, Sun race 3 I again finished way down, but knocked a couple of secs off my lap time, race 4 was a wet race, actually made the right tyre choice for a change & was rewarded with a 14th place & a couple of points.
