We all remember those words as they meant the start of a good night with great food, plenty of laughs and excellent hospitality. Barry, Sarah and the rest of the guys in 5th Avenue have been the highlight of many holidays for lots of people over the years. Not to mention those of us who live in Corralejo and were proud to count Barry as one of our good friends.

Sadly, Barry was diagnosed with cancer in December 2018. Sarah kept the restaurant running until it became clear there was no treatment available for Barry, so she returned to Scotland to be with him. On Wednesday 23rd January, Barry passed away at the family home in Kinghorn.

As many of you will know, when you are self employed like Barry and Sarah, no-one pays your bills for you when you cant work. As well as dealing with the loss of Barry, Sarah has to find a way, financially to support herself and re-open then restaurant when she is ready. Following the news, we´ve had many people ask if there is a way to support Sarah and show their appreciation for the hospitality she and Barry has provided over the years. In response to this, we have set up this page to allow people to do so. All monies raised will be passed directly to Sarah to do as she wishes.
