Story
We are a newly formed Community Interest Company, aiming to help adults and young people (16+) with Autism/Learning Disabilities.
We are currently restricted to North Wales, but as we grow so will our area.
We are seeking premises, but so far the costs for set up are way beyond our remit. There are some grants available for such things, but unfortunately in most cases we have to be doing what we are set out to do before we can apply. The problem being we need the premises to begin! So a catch 22.
We are doing carboots and selling on ebay, but it is just not enough no matter how many hours are put in sadly.
A premises would enable us to have a retail outlet to help self fund our activities (please see below). We also wish to have another room in the future which we wish to make into a community/activity room for our members to come and use (hoping to install computers etc.
We also hope funds permitting to employ members to come and help in the shop if they so wish. :D
**Funding Memberships/activities:**
We hope to begin funding membership costs/activities for adults and young people (16+) within Wrexham / Flintshire counties (to begin with) by the end of this year if funding available.E.g. If you would like to become a member of the National Trust, we can fund it and help with the application process. We would also help fund activities such as gym, football, swimming lessons etc.
Our aim is to help adults and young people (16+) that have a diagnosis of autism/learning disabilities get involved in all that Wrexham has to offer, if they want to.
