COAST 4 the COMMUNITY - 29 SEP 18 - 75 MiLE FUNDRAISER FOR BASSETLAW FOOD BANK
Food poverty affects all corners of society. Evidence shows that the use of food banks is increasing. This plight was recently highlighted by TRAX FM. Bassetlaw Food Bank receives no formal funding and is reliant on donations from the community. Whether this be in the form of money or food to help those in their time of need.
On Sat 29 Sep 18, I will be conducting a self sustaining 75 mile ride onto the east coast to raise money and awareness for this cause. Why do I feel so passionately about this. This is happening within our community that's why.
The Google maps time for the event is 6 hours, 45 minutes. That is the time to beat! Punctures etc will be fixed by the roadside and the event will continue. All money raised will go directly to Bassetlaw Food Bank and into the mouths of those families and children in desperate need.

6 years agoOn Sat 29 Sep 18, I rode to the Coast 4 the Community to raise awareness and funds to help those within our district experiencing food poverty. The event started at 0740 am from Bassetlaw Foodbank in Worksop. The time to beat was circa 6 hours 45 minutes, the time set for google maps over challenging terrain to complete 78.5 miles. The event was complete at 1340 - 1:40 pm. That was 6 hours exactly with 20 mins of breaks. I would like to extend a big thank you for all the support and if you have not pledged a donation PLEASE DO
