Mike was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and fought a great battle using alternative therapies he could access to beat it in round one. Sadly it has come back aggressively for round two and Mike is now undergoing chemo therapy however we are keen to explore every single avenue of hope that is out there and keep him comfortable in the process but this doesn’t come cheap.

Mike is one of the most inspirational and caring people I know and have known now for over 10 years. Way back in those early days he helped me in a terrible time of need when my Mum was incredibly sick and needed a medical plane to repatriate her back to the UK for palliative care. With Mikes help alongside his incredible family who barely knew me they helped to raise the £14000 to make that happen and I will forever be eternally grateful.

In only a few weeks Peter and I will be taking on the Great North Run on Sunday the 9th of September 2018 in honour of this incredible man and give him a chance to fight this awful disease with every weapon in any armory!

By taking part in the Great North Run we want to raise as much money as possible to ensure he has access to the best care, the opportunity to explore every therapy, the funds to buy the things to ease his pain, the resources to ensure his home and beautiful wife Maureen are safe and well.
