Once again, 7 brave & intrepid rafters are taking to the Ouse to raise money for the Lewes Round Table and the various causes it supports. We will be racing our pedal powered rafter down the Ouse from Lewes to Newhaven in a hail of eggs, flour bombs and all sorts (please no plastic) with an aim of improving on our a seventh place position last year.

The annual Lewes to Newhaven Raft Race has been taking place during July or August for over 30 years. The race is organised by the Round Table as a charity fund raiser, and has over the years raised over half a million pounds for local charities.The charities this year are martlets & starfish music charities .

These have been chosen as ESCC have cut back on most of the music programs in schools in East sussex.
