Humanity needs a wake up call, I'm a 17 year old girl who hasn't even had the chance to explore the world, have children, get married. Climate change, plastic, CO2 won't let me have the chance to do those things, the planet is crying for our help to save it and we need to act now! This isn't something we can just brush away. This is real. This is happening. Parents won't have the chance to see there children grow up because of these issues, children won't be able to become adults, become doctors, lawyers, nurses, vets, hairdressers, all because we was to selfish to open our eyes and see what pain we have caused the world. We burn fossil fuels causing CO2 in the air WE breath, we make plastic that has been proven to still be lying around after 400 years. We use our cars to drive places we could walk to, we're just to lazy to do it. We could use alternatives like take the bus, walk, cycle, we're just to selfish and lazy to do so. How can we look our future generation in the eyes and tell them "you won't have a future because we were too selfish to realize the damage WE have caused". We can stop this. We can stop thinking about ourself and think about helping the world. We start using reusable things, like metal straws, stop cutting the trees down for things we don't need! Use reusable for cups for our drinks, carry metal utensils, save the water usage by cutting down the amount we use! Cut down on the amount of meat we use! If we stop doing all these things factorys will have to stop making so much waste and it will decrease the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere! Think of the benefits not just for the planet, that beautiful holiday sea you would like to visit will be clear blue, no plastic bags drifting, no plastic straws, no cans, the better smelling air, so much better for us! I could go on about the benefits helping our world can do and what we can do to save it. Please please do it for your us. The generation that would like to have a life to live.
