Following a successful fundraising event set up in October 2018 in the view of providing safe and clean water to a rural village in west Cameroon (Mangoum village), i was overwhelmed and touched by people's responses and support. This has encouraged and motivated me to initiate another small but yet practical project in the aim to reconstruct a toilet and shower facility which has been destroyed over the number of years by slow degradation and erosion.

During the olden days building constructions which were made out of mud soil and no solid structures were used therefore these buildings couldn't withstand the test of time and not sustainable and eventually most houses, toilets, kitchens, animal sheds etc… have slowly and surely fallen apart especially during high stormy weathers in the rainy season.

This project is pretty simple and the aim is to reconstruct basic traditional toilet and shower facility using modern tools and materials which the community can benefits from and use for a long period of time.

The fundraising will go towards:

- Material cost -> £100 (for purchasing cement, sand, timber, iron, aluminium, paint etc)

- Tool cost -> £40 ( for purchasing wheelbarrow, nail, hammer, spirit level)

- Labour cost -> £35 ( for hiring 5 local builders and bricklayers to work on the project)

- Transportation cost -> £10 (for bringing materials and tools purchased from the nearest town’s DIY store.

- Food & Drinks -> £15 ( It's common to organise a meal and a get together with the locals at the end of an activity to celebrate a positive achievement which normally includes, food, drinks, prayers and singing)

"Coming together is the beginning.... Keeping together is progress...Working together is success. Let's provided basic needs to the less fortunate and the underprivileged.
