Story
I have been sailing in the Optimist dinghy class for 2 years. I am learning an enormous amount. Not just sailing skills. But also confidence, resilience, problem-solving, and independence. I love to sail and I thrive on the competitive element of racing.
Following my competing in the Optimist Nationals competition in NZ in April 2019 I was selected to represent New Zealand in New Caledonia in October 2019 as I ranked in the top 5 11 and under year olds. This competition will be attended by world-class sailors from NZ, France, Tahiti, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand.
I need to raise funds to get me there. This includes flights, accommodation, coaching, and boat hire.
I am very grateful for those that are supporting me on my journey and I hope that I can make you proud in my achievements in New Caledonia and beyond.
