    Story

Let's Get Debbie Back Home Where She Belongs.

Debbie suffers from the most severe form of Multiple Sclerosis, and has been in hospital and now a care home for the past twelve months and she wants to go home.

Her husband Dale and 17 year old twins Max and Ella are trying to get her there but..........

Debra needs a wheelchair and can't use stairs, and she needs a specially adapted bed with a hoist. So their house needs an extension building with total costs of £40,000.

So 'Team Nevis' are here to help.

There are four of us, all big Manchester City fans and we are climbing Ben Nevis in Man United shirts!

That's me, my son Jake, my mate Simon, and Debbie and Dale's son Max, all going up the British Isles' highest mountain on 13th October 2018 and we are hoping to raise £5000.

With your help we'll do that.

Please give as much or as little as you can afford. Everything helps. And thank you in advance for your support.

The Goodmans are just an ordinary Manchester family who have unfortunately ended up in this situation and they need our help.

Let's get Debbie back home with her family where she belongs.

Read about the Goodman family in the Oldham Chronicle's story ‘Home Is Definitely Where The Heart Is’.

Best bring it with, it's the nearest thing we've got to a map.

13.10.18 Summit of Ben Nevis: We did it!

We did it! It rained the whole time, all 6 hours and 35 minutes, and it was so cold at the top. Everyone stayed in good spirits for the duration but we were all grateful for a hot bath, dry clothes and a hearty meal afterwards. Slept well that night, could barely walk the next day.

Thanks so much for all the messages of support and of course your generous sponsorship. And if you can spare an extra couple of quid while you're here, please chuck it our way.

Yours on behalf of us all, Jim Glennie.

I'd just like to say a huge 'Thank You' to everyone for giving so generously. It means a huge amount to me and even more to the Goodman family. At times like this, support and kindness from strangers can be what gets you through the day. Keep spreading the word and let's smash that target. Love and best wishes, Jim Glennie.
