Social work is a very important part of our civic duty. The support of the social and natural environment makes our life better.

If everyone put just a little brick in this world fundament, our planet would become much better. With this ideas in mind me and two other activists founded a social organization, which is called “BeUp”. It’s goal is to make people aged from 16 to 25 socially active, to get them out of their comfort zone and make our hometown better.

At the early beginning we started with forming a club, where young people can spend their free time, having trainings, debates, board games and etc.

It was all free, many famous and admired authorities were invited to teach at our trainings, such topics as Business, Law, History, Politics, Psychology were discussed every week.

Young adults were really excited meeting new interesting people, developing their skills, at the same time getting free snacks and drinks.

After some time, when our club became really big and well known among young people, we decided to give a start to the social projects, which we had planned before.

Firstly we formed two groups, 10 members each, one was responsible for the media and technical support: photographers, graphical designers, SMM; another group was doing more physical work: doing social surveys, meeting with people and etc. Our first goal, to create a well balanced team, who can accomplish all the given tasks had been reached.

“BeUp” started doing different events outside of the office, for example: helping retired people,veterans of the second world war, orphans, poor families with kids and others. We were collecting money, finding sponsors to buy different goods for this people, at the same time media department was making different videos about our activity, to attract more young people. At its peak our organization was collecting up to 70 young people to participate in the events.

One of the most significant events was on the eve of the great Victory Day, our activists bypassed about fifty veterans of the Second World War and their families. We did not only bring charitable assistance for them, but also paid close attention to the daily problems of the heroes of our past. The majority of these people, are already more then 100 years old and our state has to take care of them not only during the celebrations

In my opinion social work is the only way to make people in need smile.

Social work not only brings a smile to those in need, but also improves the life of the individual performing the job. Improving society while building personal skills is the outcome of taking up these activities.

Why we need funding? Because it became impossible to run the organisation using our own resources, when the number of members raised. We need to continue doing good!
