Along with her husband, Jimmie, Bev Guymon set up the Solent Kestrels basketball programme in 1998 to provide an outlet for young people and to develop sporting excellence in the Southampton area. Bev passed away on the 24th May 2016 at the all too young age of 55 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. During her time with the club she helped countless young people achieve their dreams of playing basketball. On her passing donations were made and this fund. Further fund raising events will be run in her name in order to ensure that her legacy continues into the future.
