This is the end part!*) We’ve finally completed the development period and are poised to begin pre-production in April when our head animator begins Tahirih’s storyboard and design. We’ll raise up another fundraising platform to get this next stage off the ground – this time possibly through Crowdfunding – so please keep a look out, continue to be involved if you can, and share the news if you have time. This series promises more exposure for Tahirih’s story, and carries potential for it to journey further. In the meantime, myself and a great team (organically assembled through this mysterious process!) have reached a momentous stage as we now forge ahead to make the first ‘episode’, namely the Tahirih film you so kindly supported. However, it has also been a very slow process. I have learned a lot about the short animation industry and continue to learn a whole lot more about the essential matter of distribution impact. In light of this, to create something robust and long-lasting for our demanding digital world, what began as one single short film to honour the Bicentenary of the Bab year, has now also become a series (of interconnected short films about contemporary issues changing our world today) inspired by Tahirih’s ‘trumpet blast’ to the world.
