I feel so embarassed writing this but I am trying to raise funds for one of my cats, his name is Tommy. I woke this morning to find him lying by his water bowl and it was completely empty which is very unusual as it has never been empty before. I sat by him and he kept trying to go for a pee but nothing was coming out, this happened a few times and then he was sick.

I rang the vet and she arranged to meet me at the veterinary practice (on a Sunday) after she examined him she said she would have to keep him in as he would need to be anaesthetised and have his bladder drained as the blockage would begin to damage his kidneys. I was in shock as he was absolutely fine yesterday and spent the afternoon being cuddled by my 91 year old aunt.

My situation is that I have always paid for everything for my wonderful pets however for the last five years I have had my 91 year old living with me as she lived on her own and had fallen pray to unscrupulous companies who had taken all of her savings and then her health deteriorated. Four years ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimers amongst her other disabilities. I also have seven ex Street dogs and had to resign from my post where I worked for sixteen years in order to look after my Aunt, daughter, dogs and cats. I receive a carers allowance of £260 per month.

We have no other family and I genuinely cant think of another way to try and raise funds to pay the vet bill. Should anyone be so kind to help raise funds I would be eternally greatful.
