. Many of you will know that we lost Mam in 2016 and then Our Les (Sister) in 2018. They were the two most beautiful and inspirational women you could ever meet. Cancer is a blight on our lives and everyone knows someone affected by the fecking thing. There isn't an hour passes every day when I do not think of Mam and Our Les. They've left holes in the lives of our family that can never be filled.

OK so here's the deal. Most of you will know me as an overweight middle aged man who likes a beer or ten and sings a few folk songs. You may not know that I have two dodgy knees and a battered hip. SO in memory of Mam and Our Les I am going to enter the Leeds Half Marathon on May the 12th. Now for all of you have just spat your tea out, I fully understand cos a runner I'm not! I'm asking for £1 or 1euro to enable this spectacle to occur. All money raised will go to Wheatfields Hospice here in Leeds. If you don't want to donate a quid or a euro that's no problem but PLEASE can you give it a share.

I'd best go out and get some training done!
