Asalaamualaikum Brothers and sisters, the aim is to raise the amount above to help the masjid pay off its debts which are currently 500K. Alḥamdulillāh yesterday I attended an event organised by the masjid called the Dawn Conference, and Alḥamdulillāh by the permisssion of Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta`āla) they raised In pledges 71k! (SubhanAllah)

So i think InshaAllah the amount above is a small task that we the community can pull together and donate towards. For those that know me, I urge my friends and family first and then others, I urge you to donate what you can InshaAllah and if you are a tax payer please also tick the Gift Aid if the option is there.

By the permission of Allāh, this will be a form of sadaqah tul-Jariyah (ongoing charity during ones life and after death) by every individual that prays a prayer, benefits from a reminder or talk, learns/ implements something new, and any other form of good, in sha Allah you will also receive a reward likewise.

In an authentic narration, 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab (rA) is reported to have heard the Messenger of Allāh (salalahu 'alayhi wasalam) to have said,

We ask Allāh (subḥānahu wata`āla) to forever bless our beloved Brothers and Sisters who have contributed via means of pledges, donations and fundraising etc. and accept this from them. Amin!
