    Story

We are a group of four Explorer Scouts and Young Leaders that have been selected to represent Blackpool District at the 2019 World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, USA. Each member of our team has put a great deal of energy and hard work into being selected, including a very competitive selection weekend, and we’re all thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this once in a lifetime event.

In order to represent our community at the World Scout Jamboree, we have to raise over £6,000 collectively to fund our experience. The total cost of all four of us attending is £14,000, although a significant portion of this has been contributed by our Scouting District and County. This money is necessary to cover the costs of transportation, accommodation, and admission to the event.

So far our fundraising is going well and through various events we have raised over £2000 although we still have a long way to go. We have more events planned - bag packing, ladies night, chocolate bingo nights etc but all donations still gratefully accepted.
