    Story

    Short Summary

Hello! I'm Hannah (Turnip Productions LTD). I am making a Short Film to raise money for Alzheimer's disease and spread the message to those who struggle but also those who live with someone suffering.

blank. [Working Title] Alzhiemer's and Dementia Short Film is based on Various True stories.

If nothing ever disappears then where does it all go? (Poem by Liska Pleines)

The film is following the lives of a husband living with his dementia diagnosed wife. The husband reads out a poem (voiceover) while his life plays out cinematically. Highlighting the key emotions and struggles of the journey. This film focuses not only on the sufferer but the carer. It highlights the hardships of the husband and they get through it together.

    Hopeful but realistic.

What We Need & What You Get

Our goal is to raise £500 for this film. We will use this money to:

    - Gather detailed research to make the film as detailed and accurate as possible.

    - Make the film as visually beautiful as the poem itself in Post-Production (Colour Grade/VFX)

    - Gathering prop/costume/design.

    - To use locations that perfectly match the imagery of the stories the film is based on.

    The Impact

1 in 3 people get Dementia. I want to make this film to not only educate those on the struggles of the illness but provide hope for those caring for them. I want to share the message that it's ok to feel on a balance between wanting to seek help and wanting to stay by their side.

Most Dementia films are told by the POV of the sufferer and I think it's important to share the hopeful but realistic message that things can be hard and it's ok to need help.

I don't just want to make this film and post it online I want to screen it at events and evenings. I will donate all the profits to the The Alzheimer's Society and Willow Wood Hospice so they can continue to support those struggling.

    Other Ways You Can Help

I completely understand if you just can't contribute, but there are other ways you can help:

    - Share this campaign with your friends and family. (That's all!)

I'm not making a film WE are building a project that will help others! Let's make this together!
