    Story

    Hi Everyone,

As you know Christmas is around the corner! With the Christmas season also comes freezing temperatures which make life harder for those living on the streets.

This idea of blessing bags came to me last year and has been in my heart ever since. My partner and I were walking back to the train station in Leicester Square when we walked past a homeless man who was wrapped in a tarp laying on the side walk. When I looked at his face it was white as a ghost and my heart broke for him. Moving to Windsor from Vancouver, Canada, it was a bit of a shock seeing so many living on the streets, especially when the temperatures get below zero so often.

This year I will be preparing blessing bags for the homeless. After looking online and asking around some items that I would like to put in the bags are things such as, but not limited to:

    • Gloves

    • Warm Socks (Warm)

    • Underwear

    • Band aids

    • Chewable Multivitamins

    • Tissues

    • Tooth Brush

    • Meat Snacks

    • Tooth paste

    • Wet wipes

    • Deodorant

    • Soap

    • Christmas Chocolates

    • Snack cups

    • Water bottle

    • Nail clippers

    • Chap stick

    • Cough drops and or mints

    • Protein bars

    • Pads or tampons

I would love to hand out 50 care bags this winter. If you are interested in supporting this cause, please visit the following link. All funds will be invested towards the items above.

Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thank you everyone who has donated and shared the page! We are so excited that we are at 62% percent of target. We have also had some donations of items for the bags that are very appreciated! We have started ordering supplies such as facial wipes, chap stick, warm wool socks and shampoo and conditioner. Please keep spreading the word! There is still time left before Christmas to donate for the creation of more bags!

It takes a special kind of person to not only think of others, but to go out of their way for others who are in need.I wish you a successful endeavour, and a happy and healthy Christmas & New Year.
