Story
Who is Jeane?
Jeane is a family friend who I have known since she was a little girl and has become part of my extended family. Jeane is 21 years old and lives in South Africa. She has stage 3 ovarian cancer - Ewing Sarcoma to be exact. And is fighting it like a champ with so much positivity it is truly inspiring!
Last week she was due to have a hysterectomy (and lose the ability to ever have children of her own) however they could not operate as her abdominal cavity is riddled with tumours and lesions and would be far too dangerous.
The aggressive nature of this cancer has truly become life threatening and can now only be helped with further treatments. The families medical aid cover has been depleted and they are in desperate need for a miracle.
What treatment does she need?
Just to give you an idea, here is a list of the treatment she needs and the approximate costs for each.. amounts are all in South African RANDS.
Chemo on IV R3,000 per day
Chemo tablets for a month R20,000
PET Scan R27,000
USA Pathology Report R100,000
Every 100 pounds is equal to approx R1,800
Every little bit that you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

6 years agoHi all, I know my target is pretty ambitious but it can be done! Please please please.. donate and share and help raise awareness and the funds to get Jeane through the next set of treatments. She started chemo again today so we need your help. Today there was an awesome turnout in Durban for a triathlon for #blueforyou!! Sun shine and speedos - could you ask for more!? You are all making a difference no matter how small. Thank you!
