Story
Bob was a great guy, mentor and confidante, when things seemed low in the workplace, you could always count on Bob to lift the mood, his presence, smile and chuckle made the place seem brighter. His immense depth of knowledge and experience meant he was the person everyone would turn to if they had an issue, he would generally have the answer or knew someone who did.
Bob will forever be missed and we would like to immortalise him by having a memorial stone place on the Ribbon of Remembrance at the International Bomber Command Centre. This stone will be 300mm x 150mm and has up to 54 characters over 3 lines. Please help us achieve this, any donations received over the £250.00 would be donated collectively to St Barnabas Hospice, the fantastic people who took care of Bob in his last weeks.
Thank you so much.

5 years agoHi everyone, I would just like to add my thanks again for the generosity from everyone, the St Barnabas Hospice received a great donation and we have also achieved our main aim of purchasing a memorial stone to be laid along the Ribbon of Remembrance at the Lincoln IBCC. I am pleased to say that Bob's memorial stone has now been placed and free for anyone to go and view it, thank you once again, Duane.

6 years agoDear all, I am currently in the process of gathering all donations together. I will be liaising with the IBCC regarding a request from the family and will be purchasing the stone once the funds from this page become available. I will also be talking to the accounts flight at RAF Waddington to source a big cheque to present St Barnabas Hospice totalling the remaining donations as requested by the family. Again, thank you for your generous donations, Duane.

6 years agoWe have been inundated with donations, both on this page and in the workplace, so far we have reached the target and then some (£590 in total so far) it is so humbling. Once the order has been placed for the stone I will keep people updated as to the progress and when the stone has been placed on the Ribbon of Remembrance. Thank you everyone so much.
