Bob Gliddon’s big 60!

Can i start by reminding everyone reading/donating that this is a SURPRISE for dad and he knows nothing about it.

Dad has always said that he wouldn’t be interested in a surprise party but did have one thing he wanted to tick off in his bucket list by the time he was 60 and that was to see Mount Everest! (Not climb it- we would never get the travel insurance!)

Instead of organising a big party and people taking time to get gifts we were hoping that people would want to donate to help towards getting dad there!

Unfortunatly it isnt as easy as booking a ryanair as there are rules and visas, so we have found a package deal with China Highlights where dad will not only get to spend his final night in Everest Base Camp but gets to visit many of Tibets famous Buddhist temples along the way - which i’m sure everyone knows would be a dream for dad.

We are going to present this to dad on Christmas day so that he can prepare himself. We are very much looking forward to giving this to dad and will be filming his reaction. We will also present him with a print out of donations as im sure he will want to thank people individually for donating.
