Austerity has meant that so many schools are currently struggling to fund everyday resources, let alone any extra projects to engage children and inspire them in all areas of the curriculum.

As an Usborne Organiser, I have set myself the personal challenge this year of getting £10,000 worth of books into schools across the country - this could support reading clubs to stretch able readers, sets of books to support children learning to read, STEM books to help with learning science and maths, nursery books... whatever is needed in our schools.

If I can raise £6000, Usborne will donate another £3600 for free, getting me really close to my target. I'll be doing various challenges and sales throughout the year, and am hugely grateful to any businesses or individuals willing to donate to help inspire the future generations.
