I am Gem and I have dragged my wife into taken part but I know she is doing it to support me. I am in a wheelchair so to take part in the colour rush event I have had to get so many emails to agree I could it's stupid and some would of been put off but not me... That just makes me more determined, some of my friends will be wishing I would just behave, some will be loving that I won't just give up and some well they just love me. All that matters is that Katie and I get round in one piece and we will.
I have several chronic illnesses that I have to deal with daily and some do try to kill me daily too. Some of my conditions are well known like Asthma but I also have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which is not so well known.
This means they don't get they actual funding they should for research purposes to help people like myself.
I raise awareness where I can about all my conditions and also how my life has been affected by being sick so I'd I can help others I will. Some of you guys ask me what you can do for me well you can support me do this if you like. I am excited about raising money for multiple places to get as much to them as I can as they deserve the support.
