I am participating in 4 Bucket List challenges in aid of the youth of the future at Brentwood Rugby Club by raising funds towards building new clubhouse facilities and supporting the Prostate Cancer charity UK.

Having been a coach from U9’s –Colts (parent just watching prior to that), Youth/Mini Chairman (this was not a separate role then), Chairman of the Club, and also Captain of various sides over the years (still running the Vets if anyone is interested), I am well aware of the limitation in the facilities we have to offer.

This would be your opportunity to contribute towards your Children’s future at the Club, so that they may enjoy a better environment to grow up in, than we have to offer at present.

10 of the starting 15, and also 1 on the bench, who played for the 1st team last Saturday, were all developed through the Brentwood Youth/ Mini sections, with the parents still coming to support their children, albeit they tend to go home independently now. Therefore, this may be another reason you may wish to contribute towards theirs & your future.

Originally I had planned to take on one event to raise money to develop a new Clubhouse, but felt that those outside the club environment may be less willing to contribute, and decided that I should also raise money for a charity. The decision on which charity was made for me when my wife’s uncle unfortunately passed away within in a month being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

Therefore, having viewed various options of events that I could partake in, and could not make my mind up as which would prove the most challenging, I eventually decided on 4, which are Olympic Bobsleigh, Paragliding, Marathon (Paris as London was full), and Sky Diving.

None of the fund raising will be used to pay for my partaking in these events, and have so far been fortunate that Kind Build & City Fire have helped me out a little towards this expenditure with Davlav being the main sponsor of the Club
