Story
On the 9th September I will be taking part in the Great North Run (Half Marathon)
I am raising money for the Special Care Baby Unit at Whitehaven Hospital to help pay for the relevant equipment/amenities to support our premature and poorly babies.
On the 8th December 2016 my son Jack Brett was born 6 weeks premature weighing only 3lb 3oz? The first month of his life was spent in the special care baby unit at Whitehaven Hospital in an incubator, it was a very scary time and jack looked so fragile but because of the amazing staff of the SCBU every day Jack got stronger and stronger we couldn’t believe someone so small had so much strength. If this great service was not available locally he would have been rushed to Newcastle Hospital which could have led to a completely different outcome
We cannot thank the staff of SCBU enough for what they did.
Any Donations you can spare would be greatly appreciated to this wonderful facility
