    Story

**update** Steve has had surgery now and is in salford royal to start his rehabilitation for speech therapy.

My dad, Steve Ankers, is a self employed roofer, one of the friendliest, hardest working people you’ll ever meet! He confronted thieves robbing his work van off his driveway and took a hit to the head causing him serious injury and lead to him having a stroke. He is now going to need months of rehabilitation and care, all of his tools and materials for jobs were taken and we desparately need help to keep the business going. He‘s been working extra hard recently to pay off a loan taken out to cover treatment needed for his wife’s brain tumour. If anyone can make a donation of any size, for the most loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, it would be appreciated.

Just wanted to give a quick update to let you all know my dad’s in wythenshawe hospital now ready for his surgery tomorrow. He’s in good spirits as his grandson James has been able to visit him today. I just wanted to say another massive thank you to everyone for their donations, kind words and continuous support.
