Story
Christian Hobbs tragically died suddenly on Boxing Day 2017, from heart failure. Christian was a keen and highly talented boxer. He trained at The Heart of England Community Boxing Club which has recently been forced to close.
The Heart of England Community Boxing Club, has vowed to build, or develop a new gym and name it - 'The Christian Hobbs Gym, home of Heart of England Community Boxing Club' - in his memory. The Boxing Club does amazing work with young children and young adults, which would be a fitting legacy for Christian, who was an alumni of Witham Hall, the prep school which I also attended.
As such I have decided to run the London Marathon with 10 weeks left to train...... many of you will know that I'm not a natural runner so this will be a serious personal challenge for me, therefore any donations will be very gratefully received!
Please note: All proceeds (apart from the 5% JustGiving fee and any card processing fees) will go to The Heart of England Community Boxing Club. Please also note that this is a crowdfunding page as the Boxing Club does not have charitable status.

5 years agoThank you so much to all who have donated so far, it's keeping me going on the long training runs! Did a 30K last week and the knees are feeling it for sure but at least I can back off the mileage until the race day now.....
