Meet Bruno, our beloved dog. He's ten years old and he is the best buddy we could wish for. He travels with us, he moved with us to the UK and we simply couldn't live without him. He is a tough little pug, however a couple of weeks ago he started having heavy diarrhea. Multi trips to the vet have left us with many different treatments, but unfortunately without any conclusive diagnosis. We simply don't know what is the cause of the problem and it keeps getting worse. Several drugs have been prescribed to him, metrobactin as the most recent one. He is experiencing severe side effects, refuses any food and/or water, can hardly lift his leg to pee and has even trouble to stand. We are absolutely devastated to see him like this, unable to help him, worried about his live and disappointment in his treatment.
He is currently at the emergency room, on the drip and undergoing blood tests. Further test are planned to hopefully finally figure out what is wrong.
Naturally the frequent vet appointments are not cheap, ranging from £93 to now £1000 per visit, adding up to over £2400 total and no end or healing in sight.
We want to help Bruno to get well, healthy and back to his normal happy self. Enjoying his days playing, running and eating like he used to.
We feel helpless and after hearing the vet ask today if we consider to put him down, we want to take action! We will fight to our Bruno and we will Nev give up on him! We believe he can get well again, but facing the financial change is difficult.
