Story
This Christmas, the best gift you can give to an older person feeling lonely is friendship! Can you help fund a one-year BuddyHub membership for low-income Seniors?
Friendship is the single most important factor influencing our happiness, health and wellbeing. Yet too many people in our society are chronically lonely and isolated.
At BuddyHub, we meet people who have no family or friends and we tackle this by creating new friendships for them. We carefully match our members with three new Buddy volunteers, in their community, that share their interests and passions. Our volunteers encourage and motivate them to re-engage with their wider community and enjoy things they used to do before! We call this new supportive social circle a 'Friendship Wheel'.

As a membership club, we can only offer subsidised ‘Friendship Wheels’ if we raise the difference through donations from our community and supporters. And that’s where you step in! Can you please help us raise the money?
Your donation goes to our bursary fund so that we can offer as many Friendship Wheels to low-income Seniors as we can in 2019. We are looking to reach 43 low-income Seniors in Hackney and The City of London.
