Hello! I’m Ella,

I’m 14 years old and attend George Spencer Academy. My older Sister Keely has kindly set up this fundraising site for me. My school commonly arrange trips with Global Footprints and “Tanzania 2020” is the one I’ve signed up for.

The main focus of this expedition is a project working with Kilimanjaro Young Girls In Need (KYGN), just outside Moshi, helping to build essential classrooms and facilities for the local children. We will spend 6 days on a project, building these facilities run by KYGN – to help enable them gain access to much needed education which we often take for granted. As well as the building project, we will experience what African culture is like by spending time with a family in their traditional home. The project will involve working in one of the poorest suburbs in the Kilimanjaro valley. This is an amazing community project… the cost of the trip will be approximately £2295.

We will be doing a Tough Mudder 5k event on May 18th 2019 to hopefully raise some money for this incredible trip. Any donations or sponsorship would be a huge help toward this.
