Story
We are going to Calais over the Christmas break to volunteer with Help Refugees. Despite the eviction of the Calais ‘Jungle’ in October 2016 and the Dunkirk/Grande Synthe camp burning down in April 2017, there are still around 1,500 refugees sleeping rough in the forests in northern France.
We are fundraising for the trip and to do a big shop to buy the most needed items, to fill up our van with before we head to Calais.
If you would prefer to donate items, the most needed clothing are:
Trainers and walking boots
Hats and gloves
Underwear and socks
Jackets and waterproofs
Tents and tarpaulins
Sleeping bags and blankets
Rain ponchos
