Story
I am using my drama school PHOENIX ARTS BELFAST to offer a range of scholarships to the children of local families affected by cancer.
In July 2017, I was given the devastating news that I had incurable breast cancer.
A year on and the disease is now "under control".
The financial impact of cancer treatment is unlike anything I've ever experienced, and so I want to offer these scholarships to others in my situation
Phoenix Arts Belfast is a family centred performing arts school. We operate small class sizes with a very friendly, pupil centred approach. We create a safe space to express yourself, try new things, and leave your worries to one side for a while.

I am Kate, owner of Phoenix Arts Belfast. As someone who lives with cancer, I understand first hand what the financial impact can be. I was so grateful that my children had an outlet whilst I had surgery and chemotherapy. This fund will support more families in my position.
