Minibus 'Going Places' Campaign 

Buxton 2517 ATC Air Cadets is a youth voluntary organisation under the parent company RAF. The squadron is open to anyone aged 12 (Yr 8) to 20 years, encouraging good citizenship and leadership, promoting exciting and stimulating activities through various opportunities, as can be seen below.

Buxton 2517 ATC Air Cadets  has  recently  announced  its   'Going  Places'  Campaign  to raise funds for a much needed squadron minibus.   The minibus is a vital component of the squadron to transport cadets and volunteers to activities and events both locally and nationally throughout Britain.

We have a number of events  and  activities planned throughout 2018, please do visit our page regularly to found out more information.  These  activities  will  give  us  the  opportunity  to  raise  funds  for  the Squadron Minibus.

Winter  Wonderland  Sponsored Walk  will  take  place  in  January  2018  and  will  walk  along  the  Monsal  Trail  in  the  Peak  District  National  Park.  The  2517  Squadron  Cadets,  Volunteers  and  staff will take part in this event and you can sponsor them on this page. 

We  have  a  Pub  Quiz  planned  for  February/March  2018 with the Royal British Legion  at  a  local  Pub  in  Chapel-en-le-Frith.   This  will  include  a  raffle  and  prize  for  the  Pub  Quiz.  Details  will  follow  shortly

We have a Summer BBQ Evening  planned in July  2018 at the Squadron with various Competitions  and Quiz's, Best Fancy Dress Costume, Food, Licensed Bar, Disco and a Raffle.  This  will  also  invite  interested  parties  and  members  of  the  public  who  are  interested  in  Joining  the  Squadron.

We have the Squadron Dinner planned in October 2018 with the Awards Ceremony and a Raffle.

Remembrance and Poppy Appeal activities in November 2018

Christmas Fayre with Tombola, Santa's Grotto, Warm Drinks and Cakes and Stalls for Christmas Gifts planned for the beginning of December 2018.
