Story
Hello all,
So I am asking for your money to help with some projects over here in Moshi, Tanzania. I have come out here to undertake an architectural internship with an amazing NGO called C-re-aid. Whilst being away in this beautiful country, it is hard to not notice the poverty that surrounds me daily. Earlier this week I was out on site building a house for a blind lady, who has a very ill son. When a group of children came and watched us work, as they don't have enough money or ability to go to school, therefore this was their daily outing/ learning.
I am asking for your help to change this. C-re-aid has been commissioned by the local government to help repair and build some schools, in various areas in Moshi and around. With a few local schools they are becoming too dangerous to study in for the children, therefore it is a matter of urgency that this gets sorted. Each school roughly holds 260 students, if the school has to close, that is a lot of children missing out on education. However, as funds are very limited we are having to limit the number of schools we can help.
How much your money buys:
£1,500 = a CEV machine, which is capable of making up to 100 bricks a day.
Any funds, little or large, are greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

5 years agoI would like to say thank you so much to all of you who have donated so far it means a lot. Today we were back out visiting the school and engaging the children in activities to help us understand what we can place their to help their day to day lives. Unfortunately today I also witnessed the dysfunctional toilet in full use. This is unpleasant for everyone around and for the user, for girls it can cause many more problems, bullying from the boys and even assault. I am currently working on designs with my team to improve these standards.
