Hello, my name is Caden and I have been selected to go to the 24th World Scout Jamboree as part of the North Yorkshire contingent unit 32.
I am 13 and have been in Scouting since I started beavers at the age of 6 so this is something that I have been looking forward to for quite a long time and am so happy and in awe at the fact that I will be going on the Jamboree.

The Jamboree is the biggest camping event in Scouting and a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and America and the participants belong to more than 200 countries so I will have the chance to learn about other cultures and promote the UK in the best way I can. The campsite is located at the Summit Bechtel Reserve which is a large complex that has a wide range of activities for example it has the Second-largest BMX facility in the country, 13.7 acres big.

The total amount that we each must raise is £3620, some of this money raised will go towards helping less fortunate countries to participate in the Jamboree. To reach this we will be holding fundraising events like bag packing, sponsored challenges and bake sales as a team and as individuals. If you have any suggestions for fundraising please let me know. Some of this money raised will go towards helping less fortunate countries to participate in the Jamboree.
