Due to the strain on maternity services and the stress put on Midwives, I am wanting to offer a service to vulnerable women/girls and families during a time where emotional and practical support is essential for positive experiences during pregnancy and birth. I have always had a caring empathic nature and have always being drawn to helping others. I also understand what it feels like to have no support having a personal background of lifes struggles and experiences. I have worked with women and children throughout my life in supporting roles. I want to continue giving support targeting isolated families, especially women from vulnerable groups . The support I would like to give is in the role of a Doula and offering this service voluntary. For me to do this, I need to support myself and my own family, which means I dont have the financial resources to support this service. Funding is needed to be able to set up the business. It would support with membership fees, equipment, materials
