    Story

    Hello all,

On Friday the 20th July 2018, we were on holiday in Spain with our close friends Helen, Jamie, Callum and Brandon. After a lovely evening Jamie and Callum became very unwell and were admitted to hospital.

Callum had a number of seizures and was immediatley taken to intensive care and put onto life support. Jamie was also taken to intensive care and sedated as the doctors were unhappy with his symptoms, on Saturday Jamie had come round and was progressing well and was discharged yesterday (Monday the 23rd July) he is still recovering but doing well. Callum is still in intensive care in Spain and is still on life support fighting a pesticide that him and Jamie had been spiked with.

The police and British consulate have been informed and an investigation is been carried out into how such a terrible thing could happen to two happy, kind, caring men.

Callum is a 17 year old from Leeds and as a result of this awful ordeal his family are now stuck in Spain for a number of weeks until he is better, we have put this page together to ask all there friends and family to help raise funds to make this ordeal a little easier and support them and enable them to stay with Callum until he is well enough to come home.

As im sure you can all understand this is an extremely stressful and upsetting time for the family and they will be unable return home to there house, jobs and friends until Callum is well. Everyone that knows the family know how great they all are and they have had a lot of positive vibes and kind words from all these people in the last few days, I hope we can continue to support them by showing our love with a little fundraising.

we would also like to raise awareness about staying safe whilst abroad as we do not have the full facts yet we can not comment on how these two men have been poisioned with a pesticide. As the investigation continues we will update everyone as to how this has happened.

I have no idea how much we need to raise as we do not know how long the recovery will be. The more we can raise the better!

Please share our story with everyone and anyone, lets show our love as a nation and support our British friends!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you to everyone who has supported them through so far. Xx

Callum has been re sedated as he is struggling to cope and is scared and confused he is also unable to talk and this is adding to the stress. He is under constant restraint when he isn’t sedated as there is a risk he may hurt himself because he is so strong, we are greatful he is so strong and willing him on to recover at his own pace, as we still don’t know how long recovery will be, we need as much help as possible to help support Callum and family whilst there stuck in Spain. Please continue to share and help raise needed funds! Xx

Hi All, A little bit of an update with positive news! When visiting at lunch time, Helens mum Barbara gave Callum a kiss goodbye and his head moved to the side they then began to call his name and his eyelids were moving this is very positive and signs he is making progress and can hear his loved ones visiting. The hospital are going to try reduce his sedation and hopefully the medication he is receiving for the seizures will be working well and they can slowly bring him round. Thank you for everyone support xx
