Tammy is my 16yr old beautiful grandaughter and Charlene is my daughter who is a very loving, caring and strong mother. No matter what ,everything she does is for Tammy. At 8yrs old Tammy was bullied at school and found her release through trichotillomania. Tammy became very anxious and depressed leading to serious struggles for both Tammy and mum. Tammy was always a quiet girl, pleasant, kind and warm hearted. As Tammy entered Into high school she changed, her mood was very low, she was withdrawn with heartbreaking emotional breakdowns. Mum has been the forefront to ensure good education and ongoing support for Tammy. Tammy was diagnosed with Autism around 2nd year of high school. Mentally and physically Tammy could not cope, she felt it was too late. She went on to having supported education although mentally she was not coping. She was sadly diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and has had numerous suicide attempts. Tammy was so far away from life that mum thought she would lose her. Charlene gave up her nursing career to look after Tammy as she now needed constant care. I have seen my daughter torn apart trying to keep Tammy alive. She has booked and had to cancel holidays and Celine Dion concerts (Tammys favourite) due to anorexia and mental health, in turn losing so much money. Mum booked a holiday to Florida for Tammy in May 2018 and has had to cancel and re-arrange the holiday due to Tammys health. They are both finally ready go on 29th October 2018. Flights, hotel and spending money are sorted, the unexpected blow came when travel insurance at the cheapest was increased to £1200 due to the pre existing conditions worsening. It is sole destroying when you know how far both have come that she fears the holiday will be cancelled unless the insurance is paid. This is why I have asked just giving and anyone that can donate, no matter how little it is, to help give them some much needed respite and happiness.
