PLEASE HELP CARP TEAM ENGLAND

Each year Carp Team England travel to represent our country in the FIPSed World Championships and other international events. We now have three teams;- mens, women and a new youth squad (in development). The teams are aiming to be fishing in 6 international events each year.

Some people think it is all paid for by national funding, but its not! In fact we receive nothing at all and the team survives on kind donations and self funding to allow us to travel, practice and compete. We receive support from The British Carp Angling Championships and a small number of companies in the industry but the reality is that each year the team spends £1000's out of our own pocket to go and represent our Country. We fish with passion, pride and total determination. The cost of travelling to foreign venues for practice and competing, equipment and entry means that this year the team needs to raise £15000 in funds. Over the past years we have tried to do this through industry sponsors alone, who kindly donate £500 each to the cause out of the goodwill of their hearts and for no commercial gain. We are immensely grateful for this - however we need the support of the whole fishing community to allow us to develop as a team and to compete with the top countries in the world.

We have set up this Just Giving page to ask the UK carp fishing community to get behind the team and sponsor our international and World Championship battle this year. If people would kindly donate just £10 we could easily raise the funds needed to compete.
